The Dickie Dee brand and related product trademarks continue to be under active review before the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. Recent updates show that one or more applications filed under a numbered corporation are still in examination, and CIPO has issued notices indicating that the listed goods and services are not acceptable in their current form and require correction before the filings can proceed.
Questions have also been raised about how these filings were structured, what was disclosed to the contributors involved in the brand revival project, and whether the applications accurately reflect the development work that took place earlier in the year. These points are being reviewed together with the historical documentation, branding material, product concepts, and legacy records connected to Joe Kelsey’s long-standing involvement with the Dickie Dee name.
Until these matters are resolved, all commercial activities related to the brand remain on hold. Additional steps, including requests for review actions, reassignment requests, and formal challenge preparations, are being prepared as needed.
Updates will be posted as new information becomes available.
